Stefano Palatchi has consolidated his successful career as an opera singer thanks to an admirable theatrical vocation, a beautiful timbre and his applauded expressive faculties. Owner of a powerful voice, with deep bass and great nobility on stage, he has developed his artistic career in important operatic coliseums, from the Gran Teatre del Liceu in his native Barcelona to the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Winner of a Latin Grammy, it has become one of the most important Spanish basses of recent times.
Restless, risky and always willing to innovate, during the last years he has expanded his repertoire with other musical styles, among which jazz stands out. He made his debut as a crooner by the hand of Laura Simó and accompanied by the Francesc Capella Trio. Then came "Tête à Tête" next to Alfonso Vilallonga and in 2015 offers his first solo show as leader of a quintet, Stefano Palatchi in Swing. Later, in New York, he has worked a jazz repertoire that includes standards and songs popular in several languages.
Now he takes a step forward with a new project, in which he will share the stage with the Original Jazz Orchestra Taller de Músics . A sensational proposal to enjoy the voice of Palatchi under the musical impact of a big band like the EYE. More than fifteen musicians in action under the orders of renowned trumpeter David Pastor. A great show that the Mil·lenni Festival has the pleasure of presenting.
