Tribute to Mecano
It has been 25 years since Mecano presented his last tour "Aidalai Tour" and, two generations later, his music is very present among the general public. To commemorate the anniversary is born Daughter of the Moon, a project of tribute to the most important group of Spanish pop. A concert that offers a reproduction of that mythical tour, rescuing also other great successes that Mecano did not interpret then.
The show was conceived by Robin Torres, an all-rounder of the performing arts who, in addition to being a singer, is a dancer and performer. After his passing through "La Voz" he embarked on this project, in which he pays tribute to the group of brothers Cano and Ana Torroja, reproducing the magic that was lived in those concerts in which his fans crowed each and every one Of the songs, immaterial themes like "Me cuesta tanto olvidarte", "Maquillaje", "Cross of knives", "The force of destiny", "Ship to Venus" or "Woman against woman".
Daughter of the Moon is a nod to the title "Son of the Moon", a song that José María Cano originally wrote for Isabel Pantoja. To be rejected by the tonadillera ended up being published in the fourth album of the group, "Between the sky and the ground", obtaining a great success, to the extreme of which they even recorded versions in Italian and French.
