The Stutthof Museum is in the former concentration camp of Stutthof German. It conserves, researches and presents archival documents and historical objects. Exhibitions and videos offer visitors a striking insight into the lives of 110,000 people detained in the camp during the Second World War.
The Stutthof Museum, located in the Polish city of Sztutowo, was established in 1962. Its main objective is to collect, preserve, search and present all original documents concerning the camp. Many historical archives about the Stutthof camp was lost during the destruction of the buildings, which began in January 1945. Many documents were also burned, but the rest was collected and transported with the prisoners at the evacuation.
