The Night of Dvořák 1841-1904 is extracted from "Religious Andante" from String Quartet in E minor paragraph 4 that Dvořák wrote in 1870 and reworked and published in 1883. The whole piece is pervaded by an atmosphere of great calm and serenity. Meeelaan , written in 2000 by Marsalis (n. 1961), is composed of three dances - "Blues", "Tango" and "Behop" - whose variety of sound effects and acrobatic passages are almost unimaginable for a bassoon, an extreme originality, refinement and freedom. Rui's Tangowill have its world premiere at this concert and is a short play by the Buenos Aires-born composer Nisinmann born 1970 dedicated to the soloist of this concert. Mozart 1756-1791 is believed to have written five bassoon concerts, the Bassoon Concerto in B-flat K191 being the only one to date, written when the composer was only 18 years old.
