An opera for children and childlike souls
The nightingale is a new interpretation of H.C. Andersen's adventures of the emperor of China in his big castle and his free-singing Nattergal. With known arias from, among others, Mozart, Händel, Gilbert Sullivan and Gonoud, adapted to the adventure, Pin-Upera runs again in H.C. Andersen's fairy tales and performs a performance in which both the audience and the classical opera are played. Pin-Upera is an opera company founded by Signe Sneh Schreiber, Kasper Sejersen and Mads Bagge Lange. The company tells opera stories and adventures for children and adult children of all ages. The idea of the company is to show the opera's good idea and narrative form by including the children where opera is being conveyed eye level with the children.
